No fireworks display in Baysville

The annual fireworks display in Baysville, organized by the Station 4 Volunteer Fire Association, have been cancelled. The Fire Dept says this is due to provincial legislation that mandates specific safety zone and setback requirements that are no longer met at the Baysville Dam location.
Unfortunately, no other suitable locations in Baysville can accommodate both the safety requirements and the space needed for spectators to gather safely.
The Fire Dept says they understand this news may be disappointing for many residents and visitors. The Station 4 Volunteer Fire Association encourages everyone to enjoy the July 1st Canada Day fireworks presentation over Hunters Bay in Huntsville as an alternative celebration.
