Perogy-Fest coming to Huntsville
On Saturday, September 24, the Rotary Club of North Muskoka will hold Perogy-Fest 2022. Beer, live music by the DeuxDads, a dance floor, homemade Ukrainian perogies, sausage, sauerkraut, salad, and dessert are all included in the evening's activities.
The Rotary Club of North Muskoka member and event co-chair Cara Schiedel says, "We are very happy to host Perogy-Fest again. The atmosphere is fantastic; there is great food and music, and you can get up and dance. We're looking forward to having a great time and raising money for worthwhile charities on another unforgettable night."
The money collected will go toward humanitarian aid in Ukraine as well as Mind-Aid, a free mental health navigation and support service for kids and teens in Muskoka.
In 2019, the club held its first Perogy-Fest. It's unique to Huntsville, according to Schiedel. "Our club is known for manufacturing wonderful, homemade perogies, which we occasionally sell as a fundraiser. Perogy-Fest allows us to display them in a way that brings community members together for a good time and a good cause."
The club encourages everyone to purchase their tickets in advance.
"If you love perogies or want to try them for the first time, enjoy live music with classic rock songs, and like to get up and boogie to support very important causes, you will want to be here," she said.
Tickets are $35. A limited number is available and advanced purchase is recommended. Tickets are available at Community Living Huntsville, 99 West Road, Huntsville, and ProActive Rehab, 23 Dairy Lane, Unit 2, Huntsville. Contact email@example.com for further information.
