Police charge two after shoplifting
Huntsville OPP have arrested and charged two individuals after a report of a shoplifter leads to the recovery of a stolen vehicle in Huntsville.
Police report that on Tuesday morning they responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local Huntsville business. Officers located the suspect at another business, in which they were also suspected to be shoplifting.
45-year-old Roland Carriere has been charged with:
- 2 counts of Theft Under $5000 - shoplifting -
- Resisting Peace Officer
- 2 counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000, and over $5,000.
During this investigation, police identified an individual in relation to the accused. This individual and the accused were connected to a stolen vehicle from York Region, a stolen wallet and merchandise belonging to Huntsville Businesses.
As a result, 38-year-old Michael Coconis of Muskoka Lakes Township, was charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
The two accused will appear in Court at a future date.
