Practice safe sex this Valentine's Day - Health Unit
In the run up to Valentines Day, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is stressing the importance of being informed and prepared for safe sexual activity to prevent STIs.
The health unit says protection includes communication with partners about safer sex practices, vaccination against hepatitis B and HPV, and consistent condom use.
Regular testing is crucial as many STIs may not show symptoms initially.
Free condoms are available at health unit offices, and appointments can be made for consultations at Sexual Health Clinics.
