Single vehicle collision results in impaired charges
Yesterday at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Almaguin Highlands OPP and the Parry Sound EMS responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 518.
As a result of the investigation, police determined the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. The driver was arrested for impaired driving.
27 year-old Jacob Hammond, of Toronto, Ontario was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired by alcohol and drugs
- Operation while Impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on October 12th.
