Smith applauds province's move to improve healthcare in the region
Parry Sound Muskoka’s MPP Graydon Smith weighed in on the province’s fall economic statement with Hunters Bay Radio on Friday, and covered other topics about how the province is helping to ease the burden of affordability for residents.
Smith commented on local healthcare saying he thinks there’s been good headway made to allow for a better model of care for all residents across the district.
He added he’s very excited about the new Learn and Stay Grant for family physicians in Ontario. Smith says, the province will pay for tuition, if the doctor stays in Ontario to practice, and the province will be reserving undergrad spots for Ontarians in an effort to retain more doctors for municipalities across Ontario.
