Terry Fox Run organizers looking for volunteers and participants
Organizers are getting ready for the 43rd annual Terry Fox Run, being held this year on September 15th, a Canadian tradition that unites nearly 600 communities nationwide, fundraising for cancer research.
Nearly 40% of Canadians will face cancer in their lifetime. Today, the average survival rates for all cancers combined have risen from 25% in the 1940s to over 60%, with some cases reaching up to 90%.
In Huntsville, you can walk, run, or roll various course lengths from 1km to 10kms. Participants will meet at Huntsville High School. Registration starts at 8am and the event starts at 9am.
