Two people charged after assault in Downtown Huntsville
Huntsville OPP arrested and charged two people after a report of a disturbance in town.
Police say that on Monday, June 22nd just after midnight, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a business on Main Street East. Upon arrival, officers located two victims that required medical attention after being assaulted. The accused's had left the scene prior to police arrival and a vehicle matching the description was located and stopped by Orillia OPP, leading to more charges for the driver.
33-year-old Johnathan Thibodeau of Hamilton was charged with:
- 2 counts of Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
24-year-old Nicholas Taylor of Selkirk was charged with:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Having a blood alcohol concentration over 80
- Fail to remain
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
