Vaccine Certificates Coming to Ontario
Doug Ford has unveiled the province’s vaccine “certificate” plan.
Despite being against proof of vaccination, Ford made the announcement today that certain non-essential businesses and services will require proof of vaccination.
The plan launches into its first step on September 22nd, during which Ontarians will be required to show a piece of photo ID and their printed or downloaded vaccine receipt before gaining entrance to certain public settings and facilities. After one month we enter the second step when Ontarians will have to show government-issued certificates that will “include a unique QR code” that can be scanned on phones. The document can also be printed out on paper.
Medical exemptions will also show up on the QR code.
