Watershed Council Releases White Paper On Water Management
The Muskoka Watershed Council has released a white paper on integrated water management for all of Muskoka.
Bracebridge Councillor Andrews Struthers made the announcement during the most recent Bracebridge council meeting.
The paper deals with a range of issues including climate change, water control and flooding. Struthers said Muskoka has a complex ecosystem and the area needs a greater integration of land use and water control management.
On Nov. 29, the Muskoka Watershed Council will be presenting their research into the impact of buildings on climate change and the identification of viable alternatives to help mitigate climate disaster. The meeting is being held at 1 p.m. in the District council chambers.
