Despite The Cold, Walkers Gather For Women's March
More than 60 people took to the streets on Saturday for the Women’s March Muskoka. Despite the cold weather, marchers gathered at the mall and headed out on a shorter walk than planned – to MP Tony Clement’s Constituency Office and back - in solidarity of women’s issues that remain prevalent in society both locally and globally.
The group marched to bring awareness to the violence against women in Muskoka as well as around the globe. The group says 80% of women in Muskoka, have experienced physical abuse, never report that crime to the Police.
