Acton Island bridge to undergo rehabilitation

The District of Muskoka says the Acton Island Bridge near Glen Orchard is scheduled for rehabilitation and resurfacing this spring. The District says the Motorists will experience only slight delays when crossing the bridge while construction crews work under single-lane conditions for the most part, however, several overnight closures will be required to complete the work towards the end of the project. The District says that the closures will be scheduled to avoid holidays, weekends, and regular commuter traffic. Residents and stakeholders will be given at least 10 days' notice before the closures occur. EMS access will be maintained throughout construction, including all road closures.
