Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary seeking help to feed 7 orphaned otters
Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is preparing to care for over 70 wild animals this winter, including 7 orphaned river otter pups named.
While it’s common for Aspen Valley to rehabilitate various species, having 7 otters at once is unusual.
These otters, who would normally learn to hunt in the wild, will have a diet rich in fish to mimic their natural food sources.
Aspen Valley is appealing for support to help with the substantial fish supply that is needed. The otters will stay in a specially-designed, indoor-outdoor enclosure, allowing them to practice hunting and play.
