Bay Food Crew continues to support food banks
Recently, The Bay Food Crew made its 3rd delivery to The Table Food Bank in 3 months. This follows the organization's Christmas deliveries to enough food to feed 750 families at 3 local food banks and 2 winter pantries.
Delivered in June, was $3500 worth of rice, which is a great staple item and follows a delivery in May with $8000 worth of canned salmon and tuna, and $10,000 worth of cereal, soups and mac & cheese in April.
In all The Bay Food Crew, which consists of great community centric companies, includes Bullock's Independent Grocer, Dairy Lane Dental, Capstone Markets, Dreams Becoming Reality Marketing and The Bay 88.7FM.
Each year, we strive to donate nearly $100,000 in food, to those less fortunate.
There are many more families in our region using food banks than in previous years. Food insecurity in our communities is real, the people that are using these services could be your friend, neighbour or family member. Please donate if you are able to.
