Bracebridge’s Mary Jibb, a swimmer who will competing in the Paralympics next week, is getting ready to leave for games in Paris.

Earlier this year, Jibb made an impressive international debut at the World Series event in Indianapolis, securing a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke. She also triumphed in youth events, winning gold in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 individual medley, and set a Canadian record in the 50 butterfly.

A few weeks later, she confirmed her spot on the Canadian Paralympic team at the Para Swimming Trials in Toronto.

Jibb is confirmed to participate in 4 events at the Paralympics, starting on September 3rd.
