Bracebridge considers selling Bird Mill Mews property
The Town of Bracebridge is exploring the possibility of selling the property at 3 Ecclestone Drive, known as Bird Mill Mews. Currently leased to the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce and the Riverwalk Restaurant, the sale would exclude the Bird Mill Mews parkette.
With maintenance costs totaling $670,000 over the past five years and projected to reach $639,000 in the next decade, selling the property could reduce expenses and generate funds for key projects like the Carnegie Library revitalization and Lands Above the Falls redevelopment.
The building, constructed in 1918 and owned by the Town since 1990, has seen various uses and renovations but is not historically designated.
The Town is seeking community feedback on this potential sale.
