Burk's Falls Man Awaits Bail Hearing After Multiple Thefts

Police have arrested a Burk’s Falls area man after multiple thefts.
Police say that on December 19th, they investigated a theft of a motor vehicle form a Berriedale residence in Armour Township.
Then on January 21st, officers responed to reports of a theft of a snowmobile and an attempted break and enter to a Kents Mill Road residence in Joly Township.
On Thursday, 25 year-old Marc Gates of Burk's Falls was arrested and faces charges of:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000,
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence,
- Theft under $5000 of a motor vehicle, and
- Failure to comply with release order
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Parry Sound Court on January 25, 2021 for a bail hearing.
