Crash in bad weather ends in impaired charges
Bracebridge OPP report that officers were very busy yesterday, responding to collisions as the winter weather arrived in full force. One of those collisions on Highway 11 South ended with the driver being charged.
Police say that at 2:35 p.m. they were dispatched to reports from motorists that a vehicle that had been hauling a trailer with a mini-excavator had left the road on Highway 11 Southbound near Muskoka Road 117 in Bracebridge and flipped. Officers arrived in the near white-out conditions and subsequently arrested and charged 33-year-old Sprucedale man with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 9, 2024 to answer to his charges.
