Deadline To Take Rail Transportation Survey This Friday
Lucille Frith and Howie Wilcox, co-chairs of the Northeastern Rail Network committee are reminding residents of the area that the deadline to take a survey and help build a transportation network is looming.
The responses from an earlier survey were shared with Ontario Northland and Metrolinx and eventually became a reference in their business plan for the return of passenger rail service from Toronto to Cochrane including stops in Muskoka. The business plan was delivered to the Ministry of Transportation late 2019. Frith says the next step needs Muskoka to respond loud and clear to aid MTO with planning passenger rail schedules.
Frith says that if you have an interest in seeing passenger train service resume in Muskoka please complete the Ministry of Transportation survey. The deadline to submit is this Friday.
