District asking for input on lake health policies

The District of Muskoka is asking for public input to update its Lake System Health policies, which guide waterfront development while protecting the natural environment.
As part of the Muskoka Official Plan review, the District aims to address challenges like climate change, water quality, and shoreline development.
Residents are being encouraged to participate by completing the Lake System Health survey, available at EngageMuskoka.ca.
The deadline to submit responses is February 6, 2025. Public consultation opportunities will also be available in the New Year.
