District Looks To Cutting Back Waste Going To Landfills
The District of Muskoka is rethinking their strategy when it comes to waste reduction.
The District and area municipalities are looking to cut back on the amount of waste Muskokans produce and they’re seeking the public's help.
The District recently announced they’re in the process of developing a Waste Management Strategy which will include include discussion of enhanced reduction, reusing, recycling and composting programs. Residents are encouraged to provide suggestions and share their ideas through an online survey.
Residents can visit engagemuskoka.ca/waste-management-strategy and complete the "Waste Matters" survey by October 11, 2019.
