District works to make Ball's Flats safer for drivers
The District of Muskoka says safety upgrades on Muskoka Road 118 West in Bracebridge will begin in the coming weeks, with a focus on 'the Flats' commercial area —a known area of concern for drivers.
The District will install barriers to restrict left turns, allowing only right-in, right-out access between Balls Drive and the Food Basics Plaza.
Crews are set to begin as early as next week, weather permitting, with work expected to take two to three days. Minor delays are expected, with single-lane closures in place.
Traffic data will be collected through the fall to help shape long-term improvements.
