Driver caught doing 180 on Hwy 11

A concerned motorist’s call helped police catch a driver speeding at an alarming 180 km/h on Highway 11 near Burk’s Falls.
On December 29, officers responded to the complaint and quickly located the vehicle, confirming the excessive speed. The 30-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt by driving at excessive speed.
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 30 days. The accused will appear in court in Sundridge at a later date.
