Eligible Residents Invited To Book COVID-19 Immunizations
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit announced locations for immunizations for COVID-19 today.
They will be offering appointments to residents in specific age groups as per the province’s recommendations and only those who are eligible should attend the clinic at their appointed time.
The first to get the shots will be adults 85 years or older and Indigenous people 55 years of age and their adult household family members. Also on the list are anyone who receives chronic home care and specific front line healthcare workers.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Charles Gardiner says “It is critical to the health of our residents that we move forward with our clinics providing immunization first to those who need it the most based on their risk of severe disease or on their likelihood of exposure to it as health care workers.
In Muskoka, the clinic will be held at the Active Living Centre.
Anyone eligible is invited to book your appointment at smdhu.org or call 1-877-721-7520
