From 705Blackfly.com - The Haunting At The Commanda Museum
Museums take us back through time. The Commanda General Store is historically significant for its association with the development of Commanda and the surrounding area. During the boom years of settlement in the Southern Canadian Shield, the store was the hub of the community. It served as an important supply center for pioneer lumbermen and farmers, and families came from near and far to hear about what was going on with their friends and neighbors.
Some of those people may still be frequenting the Commanda General Store. Volunteers have reported strange voices and sometimes artifacts seem to move on their own. While shooting a story for the museum’s ongoing genealogy video series, we also had an experience that left us speechless! Check out this story about a spirit named “Amelia” and be sure to support the incredible work that the museum does in the community.
