Health officials are warning of a potential measles exposure in Barrie after an unvaccinated resident tested positive for the virus.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says anyone who visited Huronia Urgent Care Clinic, Georgian Radiology, or Eagle Ridge Pharmacy on March 12 between 10:55 a.m. and 2 p.m. may have been exposed.

Officials advise monitoring for symptoms, which can appear 7 to 21 days after exposure and include fever, cough, red eyes, and a rash.

Those who may have been exposed are urged to call the health unit for guidance.
