Huntsville issues flooding update

The Town of Huntsville is monitoring water levels as the spring freshet continues.
The town says that rain yesterday has kept water levels high, but cooler temperatures over the weekend may slow the flow.
As of today, flooding is expected on Old North Road, while Port Sydney and Robert Road are already seeing high water. Rivercove and downtown levels are rising, and the town warns that road closures could occur.
Officials urge caution near rivers and lakes, keeping children and pets away from fast-moving water and unstable banks.
