Huntsville man charged with historical sexual assault

A Huntsville man has been arrested in connection with a historic sexual assault case.
Police say that on Tuesday, 59-year-old Kelly Mahon was charged with sexual assault with a weapon on a person under 16, sexual interference, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Police say the charges stem from a 2015 assault in Huntsville, where the victim, who was seven years old at the time, and came forward in October 2023.
