Huntsville resident recognized for his work at Ontario Public Service
Huntsville resident John Leadston and 13 others were recognized at the Lieutenant Governors’ Legacy Awards Ceremony that took place on Monday.
These awards, named after 4 former Lieutenant Governors, celebrate contributions in anti-racism, literature, accessibility, and mental health research.
Lieutenant Governor Edith Dumont praised the recipients for their creativity and leadership in fostering inclusivity.
Leadston was recognized with the David C. Onley Award for Leadership in Accessibility, saying Leadston is a powerful advocate for the rights of neurodivergent employees in the Ontario Public Service.
Working with the Ontario Public Service’s Leadership Network and the Conference Board of Canada, he helped to provide senior public service leaders with the skills to support neurodivergent employees.
John authored a series of articles that sparked lively debate and broke down stigmas.
