Huntsville urging residents to prepare for icy conditions

The Town of Huntsville is warning residents to prepare for a mix of snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain tonight into Thursday morning. Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning, with up to 5mm of ice buildup expected, along with wind gusts near 50 km/h and 15 to 25 mm of rainfall.
The icy conditions could bring down trees and power lines, leading to outages and hazardous roads.
The District of Muskoka’s State of Emergency remains in effect, with ongoing assessments of road and waste collection services.
The town says residents should stay off the roads if possible.
