Impaired driver in possession of cocaine

OPP in Bracebridge have arrested a 22-year-old man for impaired driving.
Police say that on Monday, just after midnight, an OPP officer conducting proactive patrols stopped a vehicle on Wellington Street after noticing some deficiencies on the vehicle.
Following an investigation, a 22 year old Bracebridge resident Luis Mesquita was charged with impaired operation, over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system, and possession of cocaine.
Mesquita is scheduled to appear in court on January 21, 2025.
