Muskoka Community Foundation launches Feed Muskoka Fund

The Muskoka Community Foundation has launched a new initiative aimed at fighting food insecurity in the region. The Feed Muskoka Fund will support local food banks and community organizations addressing hunger.
Executive Director Lynn DeCaro says the fund is designed to bridge gaps in the current system and empower those on the frontlines. It will focus on sustainable solutions like reducing food costs, promoting local food production, and creating educational opportunities.
The fund’s first contribution of $15,000 came from Windermere Golf & Country Club, which raised the money through its inaugural Turkey Shoot Classic event. For more information on how to contribute, contact the Muskoka Community Foundation.
