Muskoka Consverancy adds 2 properties to its protected lands
Muskoka Conservancy has added two new properties, totaling 490 acres, to its protected area. The new land includes a 390-acre forest and wetland property near Gravenhurst and a 100-acre wetland property near Cassidy Lake.
These properties are part of a vital wildlife corridor extending from Gravenhurst to Georgian Bay.
The Cassidy Lake property, located between two significant wetlands, borders Crown land, while the larger property adjoins the Severn River Conservation Reserve.
With this acquisition, Muskoka Conservancy’s protected lands now total 5,105 acres, including 58 properties across the region.
