Muskoka Lakes seeking input on levels of service for municipal infrastructure
The Township of Muskoka Lakes is reaching out for community input as it works to identify proposed levels of service for its municipal infrastructure. Legislation requires the Township to develop a strategy for funding these services by July 1st.
The municipality says that levels of service detail the quality and extent of services provided, linking asset performance to specific goals. Key assets include fire stations, recreation facilities, community centers, and essential infrastructure like roads and sidewalks.
Mayor Peter Kelley says that "Hearing from residents will help us better manage our infrastructure to meet current and future needs."
Residents are encouraged to participate by visiting EngageMuskokaLakes.ca to complete a quick survey.
Additionally, an information session will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m., both in-person at the Municipal Office and online via Zoom.
