New Short-Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-law to be Implemented By Township of Muskoka Lakes
Starting January 1st, the Township of Muskoka Lakes will implement a new Short-Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-law.
This means all existing and new short-term rental operators will need a license to legally operate. Mayor Peter Kelley says the program aims to preserve community character, protect the environment, and ensure the safety of renters.
The by-law will also help ensure compliance with local regulations and assist law enforcement in addressing concerns.
A virtual webinar on the licensing process will be held December 10th at 10 a.m. For more details, visit muskokalakes.ca/shorttermrentals.
