No ETA on re-opening of Bracebridge's Silver Bridge

In an update to the Silver Bridge closure on Ecclestone Drive, in Bracebridge, the District of Muskoka has shared new details about the situation.
Last week, Bracebridge operations noticed abnormal equipment clearance on the bridge, prompting an inspection by District staff that revealed deformation in the truss members.
A senior structural engineer confirmed the issues with the truss system the next day.
While a major rehabilitation project was planned for this year, the timeline for reopening the bridge is still being developed as assessments continue.
