Police Bust Drug Ring In Simcoe - Muskoka
The OPP say that a lengthy joint forces investigation designed to disrupt the flow of illicit drugs into the community concluded last week with the execution of 10 search warrants and the arrest of eight people.
Police say the investigation focused on the trafficking of cocaine and heroin that was distributed using dealers who operated throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka.
During the investigation police seized drugs, currency and two motor vehicles with a combined value in excess of $230,000.
The suspects arrested face a total of 23 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges and 7 Criminal Code charges and reside in Toronto, Barrie and Springwater Township.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
