Police catch convict on the lam from Beaver Creek

OPP located an inmate who escaped from Beaver Creek Institute in Gravenhurst on Sunday.
Police say that at 7:40 p.m., police were alerted after 41-year-old Jamesie Kownirk, from Iqaluit, Nunavut, was unaccounted for during a scheduled headcount.
Authorities believe he escaped from the facility.
The OPP K-9 Unit and Emergency Response Team launched a search, and by 9:19 p.m., Kownirk was found and taken back into custody.
