Police change West Parry Sound man with child pornography offences

The OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit has arrested a 24-year-old Jared Benson, a West Parry Sound resident, following a child sexual exploitation investigation.
With assistance from the West Parry Sound OPP detachment and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit, a search warrant was executed at Benson’s residence, where several electronic devices were seized.
Benson faces charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. He was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on January 16.
