Police Locate Human Remains During Search For Missing Woman
Police (OPP) report they have located human remains during a search for a missing woman in Wahta First Nation.
A search was started on Monday for a 49-year-old Diana Kasper who failed to return from a walk in a wooded area in Wahta Mohawk First Nation.
This morning at approximately 10:20 a.m., human remains were located in the search area. Police say the death is not believed to be suspicious and there are no concerns for public safety.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending positive identification and next of kin notification.
The search has been suspended until the identity can be confirmed.
