Police Stop Wrong Way Driver
Police are reporting that on November 11th they responded to multiple calls of a wrong way vehicle travelling northbound in the south bound lanes of Highway 400.
Police stopped the southbound traffic and positioned the cruiser with lights flashing. A spike belt was used to try and stop the wrong way vehicle, which aided in safely slowing and stopping the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation the driver, a 76 year-old male from Peterborough, who was reported as missing by his family was transported to the hospital for medical reasons. No charges were laid.
