Residents pack Active Living Centre to learn about the MAHC's new model of care

Residents packed the Active Living Centre last night to attend the MAHC’s Community Chat to hear about the hospital redevelopment plan.
The proposed 'different model of care' was presented emphasizing enhanced community services.
The model was devised in October after learning that the proposed plan had a 50 percent budget overrun, forcing re-evaluation of the plans.
Residents expressed concerns about potential service reductions, but were assured that the the current proposal will work.
Construction is expected to start in 2029.
