South Wing at Huntsville Hospital closed to visitors

On Friday, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the South Wing of Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.

In consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the hospital implemented restrictions, including suspending general visitors and allowing only one essential caregiver per patient.

Testing of patients and staff is ongoing, and enhanced cleaning measures are in place to help prevent further spread of the virus.
