This Monday, Canada observes its fourth National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. The day is dedicated to honoring residential school survivors and remembering those lost.

The Bay will be joining radio stations from all over the country, broadcasting special programming called "A Day to Listen"  facilitated by the Gord Downie – Chanie Wenjack Fund.

The theme this year is "All Our Relations," and will feature stories and interviews with Indigenous leaders, artists, and elders, focusing on culture and community.

National Truth and Reconciliation Week began on September 23 in Huntsville, marked by the raising of the Survivors’ Flag. Local events include a march through downtown Huntsville, organized by the Huntsville Public Library in partnership with the Town and Hope Arises.
