Teacher Charged In 2017 Algonquin Park Drowning

The OPP has charged a Toronto teacher in connection with the death of a Toronto high school student in Algonquin Park last year.

 

15-year-old Jeremiah Perry was on a multi-night field trip with several other students in a remote area of Algonquin Park and was reported missing on July 4th 2017. Jeremiah's body was recovered the next day.

 

The OPP has charged 54-year-old Nicholas Mills of Caledon, with Criminal Negligence Causing Death.

 

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Toronto Court on September 11th.
