Two patients die during COVID outbreak at Bracebridge Hospital
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), has confirmed a COVID outbreak within four inpatient rooms on the Medical/Surgical unit at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) Site in Bracebridge is now over.
The outbreak lasted 10 days, and through outbreak management protocols including testing, four patient cases and one staff case were attributed to the outbreak.
MAHC President & CEO Cheryl Harrison says “Sadly, two patients died and we offer our condolences to the families and friends affected by the loss of their loved ones.”
There are currently no units in outbreak at either of MAHC’s sites.
