Upgrades For Parks & Trails With COVID Funding In Muskoka Lakes
Muskoka Lakes Township plans to use COVID funding to upgrade their parks and trails infrastructure.
The news came during the Township's latest council meeting as they discussed the new COVID-19 resilience infrastructure stream. The stream includes $250 million in combined federal-provincial funding dedicated to local governments across the province.
Muskoka Lakes Director of Public Works Ken Becking identified three potential projects this funding could be used for: space optimization at the Township municipal office, upgrades to the washrooms at the Raymond Community Centre and upgrades to the Township’s parks and trails infrastructure.
Council accepted Director Becking’s recommendation to apply for the funding to upgrade the Township’s parks and trails infrastructure.
