77 year old woman charged after driving over a lawn and hitting a car

A 77-year-old Port Sydney woman faces impaired driving charges after a crash in Huntsville last Wednesday, November 20th.
Police say that just after 8 p.m., officers responded to a collision on West Road, where witnesses reported the vehicle mounting a curb, crossing traffic lanes, proceeded into a neighbours yard, and then hit a parked car.
The investigation revealed the driver was impaired by alcohol and drugs. Karen Skipworth has been charged with impaired operation and failure to stop after an accident. She is set to appear in court in Bracebridge on January 7th, 2025.
