87 year old woman dies in crash

A fatal crash in Haliburton on Monday has left one person dead. Police say that just after 2:30 p.m., OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 118 near Shamba Trail. A passenger vehicle and a pickup truck were involved.
An 87-year-old woman, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was rushed to a local hospital but later pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
