Armour Twp to end service agreements with Burk's Falls
Armour Township has decided to end its shared services agreements with Burk’s Falls due to frustrations over stalled projects. At a January 14th council meeting, Armour announced it would withdraw from the library agreement and other shared services, including the arena, fire department, and landfill when agreements expire.
Mayor Rod Ward emphasized a desire for a more effective Almaguin-wide approach and stated Armour is open to collaboration with other municipalities, including Ryerson. Armour will reconsider the decision one month before the agreements expire.
